Pigeons peck your eyes out - about fears, obviously.

I'm afraid of flying. It's hard to explain, but for me it is inconceivable that such a big machine, just flies in the sky. Until now, I flew 2 times, so I can't say that I have experience. But each time I flew, I was lucky enough to sit by the window. I sat, and I felt that every muscle is tight. I was chewing gum. I wanted to listen to music to relax, but unfortunately it didn't help. I was afraid that maybe I won't hear some important announcement. So I was sitting, totallytensed up, and of course, the view was beautiful, but when I saw the water, I thought: we are going to die. And then when I saw land, I thought: we are going die. And I really asked myself the question, what is worse; when the plane crash on land or into water. All in all, I'm still not sure.
Yes, flying might be beautiful, nevertheless it arouses some fears, and I prefer to go for more hours by car than to fly fewer hours, by this huge, shaking machine.

What I'm also scared of are birds, especially pigeons. Pigeons are very intelligent: They look at you, pull your hair and just wait for the right moment to peck your eyes out. I know, I know, too many horror movies.
But what I actually mean, is we all have some fears. Probably often hard to explain, and probably those fears are just stupidity for others, but for you it's not funny. Fears are something normal and it doesn't make you less masculine or a weak person. If we had no fears, we wouldn't know what risk or carefulness is. You can't forget that everyone has some little fears, and there is nothing to be ashamed of. You have to try to live with it. And to fight against fears, is just like to sweep dirt under the bed and pretend it's not there. But over time it just overgrows and makes your fear even bigger.

So what can I say is just, live with it.
Have fun! :)
